The puppod is a multi level puzzle game for dog. The smart toy uses a combination of sensors, lights, and sounds to encourage your dog to solve puzzles and get rewards. The shape is the same as a common kong wobbler dog toy. The toy can connect to a Bluetooth food dispenser and will trigger a reward. Your dog has to use their brain to figure out the challenge. As soon as they take the right action, the mobile app signals you to give treat as a reward.
Puppod Review
Here is my review of Puppod. The challenges are simple at first but increase in difficulty as it progresses. I recommend using small treats because your dog will probably complete the challenge frequently. The first level helps teach your dog that the toy is the key to the reward. When your dog gets close to the pod, the mission complete sound rings and your dog receives a treat. After your dog complete this a couple times, the toy advances to the second level. During the second level, your dog actually has to move the toy in order to receive the treat. This is the really cool part, because once your dog touches the toy, the sensors alert the feeder and your dog is rewarded. As the levels get harder, your dog has to touch the toy when there are certain lights on the toy or certain sounds. An example of the 4th level can be seen in the video below.

The Puppod Phone Application
The Puppod app is very cool because it connects the toy to your phone, and allows you to change the lights and trigger sounds on the toy. The coolest part is that on the app you can track your dog’s calories consumed, minutes played, success rate, and treats won. You can also have multiple dog profiles on the app if you use the puppod for multiple dogs.
Is the Puppod worth it?
I definitely think so. All the other automated or electronic toys that I have tried with my dog never seem to peak their interest very long. But I think the cool design combined with the reward of treats keeps your dog entertained. Best of all, it is a great mental activity and keeps dogs out of trouble. It also encourages slow eating which is healthier. I have read from other reviews that it can help dogs with separation anxiety since your dog can play without you around. It is also a low impact activity which is perfect for less mobile dogs or dogs that recently had surgery.
