The Q tip method is a common way for cat owners to calm down a cat in heat. It is important to know it can cause infection if the q tip is not sterilized.
The q tip method involves sticking the q tip into the cat’s private part and pushing it in and out.
You are supposed to continue the motion until your cat has calmed down. If you do use the Q tip method, do not put any lubricant on the q tip, as it can cause infection.

This is probably the most successful method, as the calming diffuser is easily plugged into the wall and is proven to reduce cat’s anxiety and their drive to mate. This is my favorite method because it is long lasting and doesn’t require any work.
