3D Cat Billboard in Tokyo, Japan

3D Cat Tokyo

A new innovative cat billboard is making noise (quite literally) in Japan. A new state of the art 3D cat in Tokyo was recently launched on a billboard. The 3D Cat billboard is located in the Shinjuku district near Shinjuku train station.

What is the 3D cat billboard made of?

The 3D cat is designed on an LED screen that is nearly 1,700 square feet. This cat billboard is made with 4k resolution, making it very high definition. Best of all, the cat periodically makes meow sounds.

The 3D cat billboard features an adorable Calico cat. The billboard is live between the hours of 7a.m and 1 a.m. The cat’s motion and behavior follows the natural cycle of a cat.

In the morning, the cat wakes up and mostly lays down. It observes the people passing down below, and will occasionally yawn.

At around noon, the cat begins to stand up and become more active. It will even appear to expand outside of the billboard. The cat also makes some noise during this period. The 3D cat will also occasionally lick its lips.

Towards the end of the day and at night, the cat begins to become less active. It still stands occasionally, but it begins to get tired and eventually lays back down for the night.

At 1 a.m., the cat officially retires for the night. The billboard then turns off, and all is left is the black screen. The whole cycle repeats again when the cat appears waking up at 7 a.m.

It is estimated that around 200,000 people pass by this billboard every week. We are so jealous! The company that designed the 3D cat has set up a live stream on YouTube which you can view here.
